NRAS have been approached to help get 4 people to participate in the following.
Message NRAS Members & Supporters in London & South East

I am an independent consultant, working with a company that specialises in testing and improving the usability of information people are given about their medicines. I am currently working on information for people receiving a particular medicine for treating RA, and I am looking for volunteers to help me in this research. This is in no way a marketing exercise and, although it is being funded by a pharmaceutical company, I am not an employee of that company.

Participation will involve a one-to-one interview with me, lasting up to one hour. It will also involve using a syringe to perform a simulated injection of silicone oil solution into a rubber injection pad. Participation is confidential — your name and personal details will not be passed on in any reports to the pharmaceutical company or the regulatory agencies.

Each participant will receive £30 for taking part (plus reimbursement of reasonable travel expenses), and for each participant directly recruited through NRAS or your local group, we will pay NRAS £50.

I am looking for people with RA who have not received Abatacept, or their carers, partners or close relatives.

I hope to conduct a round of five interviews on 10/11 November, followed by a round of 10 interviews during w/b 12 December; then another round of 10 interviews in early January (exact date to be confirmed).

If I can get at least four respondents from an area group available on the same day, I am happy to travel to the area and conduct the interviews there, provided that a reasonably quiet, light room with a table is available (your usual meeting venue would almost certainly be OK). Otherwise, I can use premises in central London (Holborn) during the day; or domestic premises in Stroud Green or Muswell Hill, north London (but please note that the premises in north London do not have step-free access).

If you are interested, and without any commitment, please complete the details below and return them to me: jane.teather@consumation.com
